Saturday Mornings used to be the only day of the week that I would want to wake up early. It was a combination of cartoons, wrestling, and Soul Train, before I hit the streets of Fordham, Southern Boulevard, or Harlem with my mom. Soul Train was the best because I got to see my favorite R&B Artists perform and witness some of the coolest people of all colors dance together for a min and a half at a time.
Deep In The Heights is a monthly party to celebrate the days gone by where House music and the parties celebrating the culture ruled. For the past ten years tempo’s have been speed up, dances have elaborate choreo, and everything is synthesized.What if we could return to those days where the rhythm and grooves really came from the heart and soul and you left every thing you had on the floor.
